tripping out in Topanga

Melissa's birthday fell on a thursday. November 10th, we celebrated on the 11th by having a sleepover at Quil's aunts' yoga studio in Topanga. We sipped on sangria and told each other our secrets until we slipped into unconsciousness. It was all very beautiful. The next morning we woke up to a dog howling as if he were a wolf and we headed over to auntie Gio's home. Her house was decked in moroccan berber decor and with sunlight streaming in in most angles. Gio made us all porridge and told us stories. We lingered around her beautiful home till we decided to head towards the ocean, along the way we stopped at a coffee shop and the place felt as if it were a communal living room for the people that neighbored it. Filled with all their coffee table books and all their friends they all seemed so comfortable and welcoming to anyone that came in. We stayed there for a little while til we realized it may be too late for us all to go to the ocean, so we went to a vintage shop called "Hidden Treasures" instead. I bought a bright pink beret. We tried on lots of outfits and I felt like a daisy, soft small and incapable of harm. It was a beautiful day and I really want to live in Topanga.
